Larix is a fully licensed and insured landscape architecture studio with offices in Montpelier, VT and Brooklyn, NYC.

We started our journey designing and installing roof top gardens across the metro New York area over 25 years ago. Helping to pioneer the roof garden industry, from the earliest days of hauling 5 gallon gravel buckets up 5 floor walk ups, to hoisting big trees on Sunday. We work towards solutions that not only create the most stimulating residential and commercial outdoor spaces, but that also work to do their part for the watershed, pollinators and beyond. We will help you navigate the complex process of building approvals, permitting and nyc construction to achieve your garden dreams. Larix will support you and your project in achieving the right balance of sustainability and comfort, while retaining our attention to fine detail and budget.

Larix is proud to announce it’s newly established landscape architecture studio in Montpelier, Vermont. This new endeavor has us feeling completely energized with a new set of landscape challenges to embrace. We are, in a sense, closer to nature with our more rural work in the Vermont office. However, the urban sensibility of our background ensures we clearly recognize and celebrate the importance of human interaction within these spaces. From residential gardens and commercial site planning to agricultural and stormwater solutions, Larix will help you unlock your property’s highest and best use.
